Travel photography is more than sharing where and what you are doing. Having a proper camera throughout the journey, especially at the correct time with the right set of camera accessories, is imperative.

It is no surprise that travel photographers travel with a kit bag big enough to make people wonder what is inside. Well, it will no longer be a secret. This article aims to provide the details about ‘must-have photography accessories’ that we consider very useful while travelling.

Camera backpack:

If you plan to shoot your moments with DSLR or a mirrorless camera, you must take lenses, batteries, cleaning kits, and many other things. To put all these things together, buy a DSLR camera bag that adapts the proper positioning of your delicate equipment and protects them from dust, rain, etc.

Adjustable straps:

If you love to travel or are adventurous enough to explore new places, you will not have an easy walk. From mountains to mines – you will face bumpy roads. That’s why adjustable camera lift straps will be necessary to carry heavy cameras. Sometimes, if you are into long hours of photo shoots, it will protect you from stiffness or shoulder pain. While shopping for an adjustable strap, look for a quality strap that can be worn as a neck, cross-body, or shoulder strap and won’t get torn up quickly.

Tripod:

A tripod will be a blessing if you are a solo traveller and no one is there to capture your photos. You can easily set a time stamp on your mobile with a tripod and ‘snap, snap!’ While travelling, you face many astounding moments when you want to either freeze a moment or conduct a time-lapse.

Sometimes standing at the topmost edge of a building and capturing the city’s natural beauty can be a considerable risk for the human being; the tripod can be of enormous help in such cases. Now, using cameras by hand, there might be a risk that the proper positioning of the camera can get disrupted. As a result, the outcome remains unseen.

Power Bank:

When you are up for a long shoot or travelling and capturing moments for an entire day, your camera might need charging. You might find plugs to charge in camera in a few places, but every travel destination doesn’t have this facility. In that case, the power bank is a must-have. It has a large capacity to charge your camera more than once and is low maintenance. Please make sure you buy a power bank that provides more than 4.2V. Otherwise, it will negatively affect your camera.

Memory card:

While travelling, we click thousands of images! Having a backup of those frozen memories is a necessity. A memory card is one of the best backup options. Please choose your memory card according to the camera you will be using.

Final Thoughts

Photographers spend their life searching for the right moment to capture. But, if that moment gets spoilt for any external reason, it will be the worst nightmare. So, a photographer should always equip himself with the right tools to avoid further chaos.
