As summer says ‘Hi’ to us, we expect some delicious juicy seasonal fruits, not the high temperature, to lose our sanity. But fortunately, or unfortunately, summer days give us both. So why don’t we extract the positivity, make some refreshing summer drinks, and beat the heat? We are sharing some cooling summer drink recipes for a cooler with you. Therefore, keep it for later because you might need it.
Basil Watermelon Cooler:
A ripe watermelon is a blessing under the scorching heat. The crunchy, juicy, sweet fruit is always there to hydrate your body and soul. On the other hand, basil and mint leaves are a cooling addition. Let’s see if we can create magic with this duo –
- Duration: 5 minutes
- Ingredients: a) 1 watermelon
- b) 2- 3 mint leaves
- c) 6-7 fresh basil leaves
- d) Half lime juice
- Procedure: 1. First, chop the big watermelon and remove the seeds. Next, chop the watermelon into smaller pieces, so blending in a mixer is easier.
- Wash fresh basil and mint leaves with water and then put these into the blender along with the pieces.
- To make the juice a bit tangy, squeeze half a lime and add its juice.
- You can add thyme or any other herbs if you want to.
- Serve it with ice cubes and quench your thirst.
Mango Lassi:
Summer is nothing without the obsession with Mango. Mango is the king of the summer season, and yogurt is his queen. Together, they can make a magical drink called ‘Mango Lassi.’ Here it goes –
- Duration: 15 minutes
- Ingredients: a) 1 cup of mango puree
- b) 1 and ½ cups of yogurt
- c) ½ cup of milk
- d) Cardamom powder (optional), saffron, rose water
- e) 2/3 tbsps. of sugar (optional)
- Procedure:
1) Take two large mangoes, add a little water, and mix it in a blender to make a fresh puree.
2) Add 1 cup of yogurt followed by ½ cup of milk.
3) Add 1/4th teaspoon of cardamom powder or 1 tsp of rose water.
4) Sugar can be added if required.
5) Blend it for 1 -2 minutes and serve it in the glasses.
Don’t forget to add saffron strands on top of it.
Passion fruit Iced Tea:
Passion tea is a refreshing herbal tea blend for summer. ‘Herbal tea’ always reminds us of something bitter and healthy. But it has a refreshing aroma. Let’s get into the secret recipe –
- Duration: 15 minutes
- Ingredients: a) Passion fruits
- b) Green tea bags
- c) Honey
- d) Water
- e) Ice
- Procedure: 1) First, brew green tea, add honey instead of sugar, and let it cool down.
2) Filter out the pulps of passion fruits to extract the juice properly.
3) Keep a few seeds of passion fruit for better garnishing.
4) Add the juice with a few seeds and mix it with cold tea. You can mint leaves to add flavor.
Virgin Mojito:
Easy to make and most famous non-alcoholic drink is Virgin Mojito. The secret tunnel is here –

- Ingredients: a) Lemon Juice
- b) 7-8 mint leaves
- c) 15-20 ml sugar syrup/ 2tbsps of powdered sugar
- d) ½ cup of chilled soda
- e) 5-6 lemon wedges

Procedure:
1) Take a tall glass and muddle 3-4 lemon wedges, 7-8 mint leaves, 2tbsps of powdered sugar, and 1 tsp lemon juice for 2-3 minutes.
2) Add a pinch of salt and chilled soda and mix well.
3) Now pour the drink into the glass and add water accordingly.
4) Add ice cubes and garnish with a few lemon wedges.
